Floor Fitter Terms and Conditions (Home) – United Kingdom

Scope of Work

The Floor Fitter agrees to provide flooring services as specified in the written agreement with the Client, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Any additional work requested by the Client, not covered by the initial agreement, will be subject to mutually agreed-upon terms and pricing.

Charges and Payments

The Client agrees to pay the Floor Fitter the agreed-upon fee for flooring services rendered.

Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt. Late payments may incur additional charges.

All prices are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise specified.

Materials and Equipment

The Floor Fitter will provide all necessary materials and equipment unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Additional costs arising from unforeseen circumstances or changes in materials requested by the Client will be borne by the Client.

Appointment and Cancellation

The Client agrees to provide access to the property at the agreed-upon date and time for the provision of flooring services.

Cancellation or rescheduling of appointments must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance; failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.

Liability

The Floor Fitter shall carry adequate insurance to cover any damage or injury resulting from the provision of flooring services.

The Floor Fitter shall not be liable for any pre-existing issues or damage unrelated to the flooring services provided.

Health and Safety

The Client agrees to maintain a safe working environment for the Floor Fitter and their employees during flooring installation.

The Floor Fitter will adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Warranty

The Floor Fitter provides a warranty for the completed flooring work for a period of [X] months from the completion date.

Any defects arising from faulty workmanship within the warranty period will be rectified by the Floor Fitter at no additional cost to the Client.

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party breaches any material term of the agreement.

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information disclosed during the provision of flooring services.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Dispute Resolution

11.1 Any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Act 1996.

Amendments

Any changes to this agreement must be in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

By engaging the services of the Floor Fitter, the Client acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
